    Press Release Distribution

Press release distribution built for search value, not duplication

A wire service takes one release and pushes the identical article, under the identical headline, onto hundreds of sites at once. Search engines read that for what it is: one page repeated many times over, so almost none of it earns any ranking value. We work the other way round. A single announcement becomes several genuinely different stories, each written to its own angle and headline for the outlet carrying it, so every placement is a distinct page that can rank on its own merits and the announcement earns the full search value it is worth.

How is this different from a wire service?

A wire distributes one article to everyone on its list. The headline, the copy and the structure are identical wherever it lands, which is exactly why wire coverage so rarely ranks: search engines pick one version as canonical and treat the rest as near-duplicates with nothing to tell them apart. You get a long list of links and very little search value across them.

We start from the same announcement and write it out as several separate stories, each with its own angle, headline and framing chosen for the outlet it is going to. A funding round can be the funding story on one title, a product story on another and a market story on a third, all accurate, all reporting the same event, none of them a copy of the others. The result is a set of individually indexable pages rather than one page repeated, and that is where the search value in a press release actually comes from.

What makes an announcement worth distributing this way?

Enough real substance to support more than one angle. A thin announcement gives us one story to tell and little to work with. A funding round with named investors, a product with a specific capability change, a partnership with a stated outcome — each of those carries several honest angles, and the more genuine detail there is, the more search ground the campaign can cover.

This is the part worth being blunt about: the technique multiplies what a story is already worth. It cannot manufacture interest in an announcement that has none.

What does the process actually look like?

Read the announcement for the genuinely different stories inside it. Write each angle as its own release, with its own headline, rather than reusing one article. Match each version to the outlets it actually fits, across our own publication network. Then report back with every live link, so the coverage is checkable and there is a clear record of what ran where.

    Spray versus aim

    A wire blast

One release, hundreds of destinations, a flat fee. Most are never read by a journalist. The output is a syndication count.

    Direct outreach

Fewer pitches, each to a journalist we already have a relationship with, built around a story their readers want. The output is coverage.

    PROCESS

    How it works

    Our process

    01

    Angle

Break the announcement into the genuinely different stories it can honestly support.

    02

    Write

Each angle written as its own release with its own headline, not one article reused.

    03

    Place

Every version matched to the outlets it fits, across our own publication network.

    04

    Report

Every live link, so the coverage is checkable and there is something to build on next.

    FAQ

    Common questions

Because search engines deduplicate. When the same article appears on hundreds of sites, one version is treated as the original and the rest add little or nothing, so a wire blast can produce a long list of links that between them rank for almost nothing. Distinct stories, written to distinct angles, are indexed as distinct pages.

This service is paid distribution across the publication network we work with directly, so the placements are arranged rather than pitched. That is a different thing from earned editorial, which is won on newsworthiness and cannot be bought. Both have their place, and we are explicit about which one a given campaign is buying.

For titles inside our own publication network, placement is arranged in advance, so yes. For earned coverage in a publication we do not publish into directly, no reputable agency can promise that, because the decision sits with that outlet's editors. Anyone guaranteeing earned placement in a named masthead is describing something that does not work that way.

A wire charges a flat fee to duplicate one article. This is several stories written and placed individually, priced per project or on retainer accordingly. It costs more than a wire blast because more is written, and because the output is designed to hold search value rather than to produce a syndication count.

Our deepest experience is in crypto and Web3, where announcement cadence is highest, but the same approach applies across every industry we work in. See industries for the full list.
